1. First, make sure to vacuum your rug regularly and spot-clean any stains immediately.
  2. Always use a soft brush or sponge when cleaning your rug with an appropriate cleanser—never a hard brush or scrubbing pad!
  3. Don't leave your rug out in the sun for long periods of time because this will cause fading and damage to the fibers over time (this is true for all rugs, not just silk).
  4. When drying your rug, use an old towel or cloth to blot up excess water rather than leaving it to dry on its own—this will help prevent mold growth and mildew from forming inside the fibers themselves over time!
